I always love getting to spend time with my sisters! Saturday after I got home from work and studied a little, I headed to the small but cute town of Lindsborg to see Stephanie. I had everything planned out time wise until I got behind some slowpoke going 45 on the road from Manhattan to Junction City. We were going so slow that I had time to count headlights in my rear view mirror without wrecking....there was a nice line of over 30 cars behind me. OH and another thing about my drive there is this amazing sign! Like most of the time along I-70 there was an 'Adult Superstore.' But after passing the sign for that there is this huge sign that says, "The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3" and then I turned around to see if there was something on the other side and it said, "Christ saves and restores, Pornography kills." That'll give me something to remember everytime I pass one of the hundred on my way to Indiana! And I think that's a pretty acurate number...Kenton and I counted. Anyway, so I went to Lindsborg and spent Sat. night from 8:15 to 11:30 at this older lady's house. She was very vibrant! She just talked and talked and talked about the musical she's in, her family, her doll collection, her late husband Emri, and her days in the marine's while we sat eating chips & dip and pecan pie! She was talking about how 'awkward' it would be if she was to ever date again and then she popped off with, "I don't need a man to me company, God's always right here with me and he fills the space just fine." That there is a reminder for all us singles who enjoy singlehood to remember God IS right by us! Sunday Steph and I went to church at this little methodist church. It was enjoyable and spiritually filling. We then went to Salina and ate and spent about a 1/2 hour in the rain trying to get my passenger window to roll up and then went shopping! So I had a grand ole weekend! I'm glad to hear everyone made it safely home from their travels! Have a blessed week!

Missing the fun.......but yet
So today I worked all day! I can't complain totally cause I worked with some very nice guys and.......best of all.....I got to meet CYNTHIA HEALD! Rock on! For those unfortunate souls who do not know who this wonderful lady is I will tell you! She is an amazing christian authoress! Us girls are doing a Bible Study by her called Becoming a Woman of Freedom and it is amazing! She spoke at this Woman's World event that called me away from Toffee's baptism. After the day was closing she was sitting at a table so I just went up and told her how much we appreciated the Bible Study and how God has blessed her with writing! She exclaimed many heart felt thanks, asked about our Bible Study, sent her greetings to all of the girls, and then gave us these little poems that she wrote! Incredible woman! I very much admire her! (And yes ash I know I use a lot of exclamation marks) So yeah ... that was kewl!

Oh Happy Day
God just gave me a mucho wonderful day! wooohooo! First and for most I want to thank all of you that prayed for the safe return of my billfold! Someone turned it in to a bank in KC and they are shipping it to me! As Psalty would sing, "Praise God, Give thanks to the Father for all!" I also saw an amusing sight walking to work today! SGA elections are this week so campus has been chalked with candidates names. So I get right in front of the union and there before me is......."Vote for Pedro!" Napolean at it's best! We played Walleyball at the Rec tonight! I don't think I'm going to be able to move tomorrow! So raise your glasses high to out of shape college students! (Glasses filled with milk of course!)

Aggravation
Aggravation has set in. Two things happened today that I just HAVE to vent about. I'm having a peachy day right, then I go to clock in for work and first aggravation happens. Saturday, which might I add is Toffee's proving and I've planned on going since I found out about it, I have to work. I've never ever ever ever worked this job on Sat. and when I applied I thought that that was a term...not working on weekends. Yeah.......so I work 10am - 4 pm not even giving me enough time to drive to Taylor after work. GRRRRR Then, tonight I'm all ready for a nice time of shooting some hoops. I got my bball all pumped up, sported my high school bball shoes, put on my extremely bright OSU sweatshirt, get to the gym and........... get kicked out. These VB and soccer players have the gym reserved every sun. thru thurs. from 9 - 11. They aren't even the college teams....just peeps doing it for fun....What is the deal?!?!?! Well as
Proverbs 20:18 says "Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war," I am going to make war on..................um.........someone! I know I know that didn't really fit....but I'm definately using the whole "make war" thing! Ok now that I have that out of my system I can cope! Consolation, however, is appreciated!

Yet another great weekend!
I'm listening to music right now so it's very hard to collect my thoughts. Some little voice in the corner of my head says, "Just turn it off." Awww what a BRIGHT idea! Much better! Saturday I had the priviledge to attend the "All Things New" concert tour involving Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, and Steven Curtis Chapman! I was very impressed with not only their music of course, but with the way they presented and really showed their relationships with Christ! I got all choked up when Chapman was talking about his adoption program! Made me wanna go out and adopt..........in about 10 years! All in all it was just a really neat time getting to see the artists' sing the songs we love so well! Chris Tomlin was probably my favorite but I only managed to get a picture of Chapman(below). Also picture worthy is my sister Chelsie (below pictured right of me) and one of my best friends Michelle Kerschen(pictured left)! These two beautiful ladies traveled the great distance of 5 hours to come up this weekend! It was awesome to see both of you! I pray a blessing on our Kansas City family for all they did this weekend! You all are amazing and I really appreciate your hospitality and love!

My life is like a _____.
Today in Speech, our class opener was to finish this sentence: "My life is like a _______." After pondering a while, this is what I came up with! 'My life is like a marble. I can only make it further in the game of life if my shooter, God, directs my path.' A pretty kewl revelation actually when you stop and see that all you have to do is let God shoot you where he wants you. The waiting and seeking is always hard, but as long as we let God do his work, what could go wrong? Now I want you all to leave me what your life is most like!

PICTURES!!
I finally learned how to publish a picture today! Oh Happy Day! I know this is useless information! But I was so happy I just had to say something! I would like to sit here and type something worth while but us college students are always slaves to our calling homework stacks! Therefore, I must draw myself away! But, I thought I would treat you all to a couple of pictures just cause I can! Tonight we were spread out in our living room a studying away!

Bluffton...what a place
Ever traveled somewhere and found you didn't want to leave? Yep me too! Friday after a crazy day of tests and other not so exciting activites, 6 of us headed to Goodfield. Ashley, Kenton, and I were in one vehicle while Anna, Anthony, and Chris were in the other. We planned to travel with each other but alas, that didn't quite work out! They were ahead of us so we hurried to catch up with them, but then they pulled over and we passed them. Then we stopped and got gas and they passed us! So much for traveling with each other! But we did finally see them once we got to Luke's at about 1. Saturday morning Kenton and I headed on to Bluffton! Very very fun time! I got to see Andy and Jenna together......what a couple!! They take the phrase "cute couple" to a whole new level! Jenna, Andy, Vince, Kenton, and I went on a walk in the State Park that afternoon because of the gorgeous weather God provided for us! Then after an amazing Mexican supper we went to the biggest singing I've ever been to! I think I new about 1/5 of the people there! At first it was kinda awkward, cause they did the whole brother facing sister seating and dear me got to sit on the FRONT row! I think I kept my nose in the book the entire time! But the singing was gorgeous! I think we need to invest in the books they sang out of! Some good songs! I met some amazing people and got reacquainted with some others! I went to church in Bluffton North and Steve Ringger had an aawesome sermon! He is an incredible minister! So full of Christ it's just pouring out of him! But one of the things that just made my weekend was seeing my cousin Missy! She works at Gateway and I hardly ever get to see her! She has a little girl on the way is has only 8 weeks left........anyone want to go to Bluffton with me in 8 weeks!?!? *wink* Bluffton has some amazing people and it was kinda sad to leave them knowing I wouldn't see them in a while:( But it was nice to come home to my beloved roomies sitting in the living room greeting me with their beautiful smiles! Before I leave you all I have a prayer request! I made the mistake of leaving my wallet on top of my car when we headed out of the Wendy's parking lot on Friday. So if whoever reads this wouldn't mind praying it falls into the right hands I would much appreciate it! Thanks a bunch!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Valentine's Day is a day in which those people with a relationship celebrate it with one another. But, I enjoyed today not because of a romantic relationship but because God has provided me with friends and family members that I cherish with all my heart. I love each and everyone of you with a love that will never die! So I take this time to say no matter the distance, each of you will always be in my heart! (That may sound cheesy, but I mean it!)

Quizzes Galor
What's with all the quizzes now adays??? I've taken 3 just tonight! First there was the Napolean Dynamite quiz in which I was told I was most like Tater Tots! Very very strange and incredibly degrading on one's self-esteem. Next was the Disney one in which I was nicely surprised to find out that my alter ego is Sleeping Beauty!! But, again my self-esteem was shattered when I found out that Ashley Esslinger was Sleeping Beauty as well......*wink* Then last of all I am a 21% Harry Potter fan aka Part Time Harry Potter Fan, you have a real life! What can I say......Tara and I like to discuss them (ps..Tara is 43% aka Full Time Harry Potter Fan, you are obsessed) Kari yelled at us and told us we were "extremely weird," cause we spent about an hour tonight testing our knowledge on them! I'd rather have knowledge on the Bible.....but it was kinda fun!
Anyway, Dona and I played euchre tonight against Tommie and Ashley. We defeated the "Champions" by a score of 2 - 0! I was planning to say something extremely witty.....but alas.....I don't want to jinx Dona and I's winning streak. (For view of the blog that led Ash and Tommie to their downfall go here: http://www.ashleyesslinger.blogspot.com/ and read the Still Champions...)
Did you know that 340,000 people are struck by sudden cardiac arrest? Thankfully we now have the electric shock chance of survival.

ICE
I despise ice. Today I was taking my dear roomie Brooke to work. Well guess what! My vehicle is an ice block. We tried all sorts of stuff especially Maggi's "Melt's all ice away!" potion stuff...but alas! The doors did not budge! Eventually we tried Brooke's vehicle and found that her doors would open, so we spent about 5 min. scraping. Or at least Brooke did. I sat back and cheered her on! Way to be Brooke! You rule! Our drive to the Union was interesting.....I could see out of one little section! It reminded me of the time my sister and I were coming home from a basketball game. We were in the beast! (for all of you that don't know what the beast is.......it is a very large '85 Chevy pickup that is about the kewlest vehicle alive) So anyway we were to lazy to scrape our window off so we preceded to drive down the road with our heads out of the window! Hey it worked! So's all good!

A weekend I just had to share.......
Some very exciting things have happened in my life this year and since I've never been a diary girl......this is the best was to let those ramblings I do so much out. This story is about the most exciting and thrilling story I have to tell in my short life therefore........this may take you some reading so......I'll get started:
First off riding in a car with three Bahr's and a certain Ashley Esslinger is story enough in itself. But, after a very peaceful start out of Manhattan at about 7 pm Sat. night, our first adventure was missing a stop sign completely. Tifani was the only one who saw it of course but it failed to make us stop. Then it was a nice smooth drive to Sabetha except for Ashley hiding every two seconds from a disturbing girl named Chelsie. After trying to get out of morris and marge's driveway and sliding back down the hill, we headed out to maggi's where we learned many extremely kewl things about each other. Ashley had a little suit and was made fun of for it. Plus he likes giving the russian hello to people. Chelsie followed her teacher around singing Christmas carols! Brian had a racoon named Mr. Coony and is extremely full of himself. Anthony is going to be on a beach somewhere in 6 months with a special someone. Brandon's dream job is fishing and hunting. Tifani pooped on the playground. Maggi bent over in front of the whole sports crowd. Stephanie fell down bleacher stairs 3 year in a row at the same place. After an exciting night of games and fun everyone left and steph, tif, and chel almost hit a mailbox sliding out of maggi's extremely icey driveway! Church was marvelous of course and after church we traveled to the Esslinger farm for some phase 10 in which Ash got emotional and threw a table threw a window................. :) Then we started the longest adventure of our lives. At about 6 we left Esslingers and headed for manhattan. Right outside of Bern we decided to see how long we could coast. When we got down to about 10 miles per hour we all started heaving ourselves back and forth trying to keep going. If anyone could tell you why..................that would be quite a story. Not much else more exciting happend for the next hour until WAM.....we hit dead frozen deer. What are the odds. So we get out and ash bends under the car to see if there is any damage and immediately exclaims "oh sick.....hair......bloood........guts........that's just nasty....I think we skinned that deer." We hopped back in the car after seeing that nothing was leaking and realized there was the raunchiest smell ever. Chel and Ash preceded to pass a popcorn bag back and forth to keep the smell popcornishy. We went about 10 miles and had to stop because my radiator was leaking. We waited forever for the cop to come and in the meantime a nice little gas truck decided to pull up and stop. At first it looked like a tow truck and ahs figured he'd charge us $800 per mile to tow us to Manhattan, but at the site of a gas truck......exclamations of "who ordered gas" and "I'm so confused" left his lips." Steph told the truck driver all about what was wrong with the car even though in reality she had no clue and just decided to copy everything Ash had said was wrong with it. WE waited about 25 min. for the cop to get there and when he did he went threw the standard procedures of finding out where we were all sitting. Once back in the vehicle he asked us if we all had had our seat belts on. We all said yes................or so we thought. Tif turned around and to ask if everyone was wearing them. Ash sat there looking at the ceiling with his fingers pressed together and then steph, tif, and chel immediately started justifying him lying. After sitting in our car til our toes were frozen in which the comment about Ash giving us a toe rub and him replying about standing on the line and not even seeing Chelsie, we decided to ask the cop for a ride. He said he had two seats cleared away for us so we headed toward him. IT was after chel and tif packed into the front seat that we realized that there was only ONE seat in the back cleared away into which steph and ash squashed. Ash did the whole little 'shut the door on the hip' thing but managed to get it eventually shut. Then the silence set in. A few attempted tries to get the cop to talk failed miserably between Chelsie's lame joke and steph asking about ice accident's. Ash of course was no different figuring every little gadget within sight and even messing with the dude's gun. We get back to the hunting house after 30 min. of silence and immediately all head for the bathroom. Then Ash tried to tell Heath about when we hit the deer and instead nailed his head on the corner of our wall........very bright boy this Ashley. Well anyhow.......after the eventful night that we had.......how better could we end it then sitting down and watching Monty Python shows! (Lame ending I know, but I can't end stories very well)

My first blog!
Starting today I'm joining the wonderful world of blogging. Guess we will see how this goes! Today I had a very powerful realization! I knew that once you were around someone you saw what they were made of and what they were passionate about. But, it didn't ever hit home to me until today that just seeing a person dress a certain way could reflect all those things as well. I decided to wear jeans today to work because I knew it was going to be a very busy day and I didn't want to rip one of my skirts. From the moment I walked in the door I got comments such as "wow I've never seen you in a skirt," "is that legal for you not to wear one?" and "tell me again why you wear skirts." Just by one little change in my physical appearance after being the same for the last year made me realize that taking on the name of christian is more than just impacting the ones you come in contact with. We influence the ones we don't even know if we are stable and consistent. Another kewl thing that happened today involved Charlie, the man I put on the prayer board. He was telling me about these mininite ladies in his hometown that would wear their long dresses and hats into this one building every saturday night and come out sporting tight blue jeans and bellie shirts. It made me think of all those little things we don't think will affect others can sometimes make the biggest impact whether negetive or positive on anothers life. Today my prayer is that Christ will use me as a positive impact on others.
My wonderful roomie Maggi and I talked last night about learning Bible verses. I have decided that to learn my verse for the week better that I am going to write it every time I post. Hence below!
