Take Time to Pray

A few moments in the morning
Will put a blessing on your day
And you will find Him helping
Your problems on the way.
Don't ever be too busy
To talk to Him a while
And you will find you're facing
Each problem with a smile.
Don't let the cares of this world
Steal your joy from you
By keeping you too busy
To see what prayer can do.
Some moments in the morning
Before the start of day,
A special time at noon
Before you're on your way,
And at the close of day
Thank Him for everything
That for you He's provided -
A peace to you He'll bring.
Let nothing interfere
With moments spent with God;
You'll find your life goes better
With joy as your reward.
-- Helen Gleason

This is sooo true! I missed TWO classes this morning because I overslept...and you know why?? Because last night I was too "busy" with homework and by the time it was bed time I decided to put my devotions off til this morning. Yeah that didn't happen so it was an all around crummy morning! It is easy to see how quickly little things can pull us away. It may not be easy to be diligent, but God will bless you greatly if you wake up with Him, go to sleep with Him, and just have Him clear through your day! And I just have to say...I tried to make that poem creative looking and then I got bored...so that is why it looks stupid. OH and tonight Brooke had a very good comment that I must share! It doesn't happen that often so when it does; we have to tell everyone! We were playing Phase 10 and Jon told Dona that he would get Dona back. She responded with, "Vengence is mine saith the Lord." Then you hear this little peep of a squeak from Brooke, "But you're not the Lord!" Laughter was the response and then we shot her.

Chalking for Christ

Tonight the KSU ACYG chalked campus! The K-State campus has "freebiblenow.org" everywhere! It's awesome! I can't wait to admire everyone's work tomorrow! But more than admire the work, I'm excited for God to work in people's hearts now! He opens amazing doors and so hopefully lots of things will start happening! There were pagan people out chalking as well tonight. It makes me sad...but all we can do is pray and shine our lights and leave the rest to our Lord. We played some VB after we got done chalking and I would just like to say, "KSU group womped the Topeka group!" Wooohooo!

the truth to be told

Ok...I had way to much fun with my little "engagement" scam! I actually didn't post it for a scam, but wasn't mad that it turned out that way! So on to the real story! Last night a group of us went to the Mark Schultz concert in Topeka. It was awesome! We got to sing praise and worship songs with some nice bass, drums, keyboard, and best of all with Mark Schultz! He made the atmosphere very real by telling stories about his songs, joking with the crowd, getting rid of the smoke on stage, and my personal favorite, having just him and his piano play on a lot of his songs! On his song "Letters from War" he played a music video that the army put together to show to the boys overseas and it was sooo emotional. I bet I wasn't the only one in the crowd who shed a couple of tears. Then after the concert was over I like sprinted to the autograph line! I lose my nerve speaking in big crowds or to people I really admire, so the next 10 minutes in line were used to practice and practice what I was going to say. I really wanted to say how I appreciated his zeal and love for God in his songs...but alas I froze when I handed him my ticket and started the lame conversation I wrote earlier. After I told him what year I was I asked him if it was legal for me to get a picture with him and he said, "Yes that is very legal!" So I got that picture with him where my eyes are HUGE because I was sooo excited! And then I said thanks a lot and he said "Ya'll have a good semester, I might just put my alma mater on the map!" Ok...Mark Schultz has been my favorite artist FOREVER and getting to meet him and get a picture with him and talk to him was the best ever! I was so excited afterwards that I was shaking! Weird I know...but it was a feeling way up there with how giddy I get if someone gives their life to Christ! When I was walking away from him my eyes were huge and I was practically skipping, some lady started laughing! I'm sure I looked a sight! Oh well! I got to meet Mark Schultz! So life is way happy right now!

I have an Announcement

An amazing act of God needs to be shared with each of you! Last night...well I guess I won't spill the beans yet. I'll just share what happened:

Tifani: Hi!
Mark: Hey!
Tifani: So what do we have to do to get you to come to Manhattan?
Mark: I don't know but that would be awesome!
Tifani: Oh yeah!
Mark: You go to school there?
Tifani: Yep I go to K-State.
Mark: Nice! What year are you?
Tifani: I'll be a sophomore.
Mark: Just one moment...God is talking to my heart.
(long pause)
Mark: (After going down on one knee..) Will you marry me?

So there you have it folks! I'm in love with Mark Schultz and he asked me to marry him and we live happily ever after!

Where to find Brooke most evenings

After rooming with Brooke for almost a year...I could no longer keep this to myself. On evenings when there is nothing to do, she likes to crawl under our bunk bed and chill!

Girls don't like boys, girls like cars...

I'm not much of a 'car' person, but this car was sweet to even me! This is a 1973 Cadillac Eldorado! Morris Edelman, the driver, took my sister Steph and I out to eat Friday night and we got to ride in this baby! We got to experience HIGH rates of speed and lots of stories from his crazy days! Very kewl! I ranked it way up there with the night I got to drive a 2003 Plymouth Prowler! That rocked as well!
