Progress on our basements renovation. The brown spill in the right picture is not a spill at all but the outcome of using paint thinner to strip off the tile glue. Not only has our house fire risk increased by 200%, but I see our lungs, liver, kidney, heart, and nervous system are now vulnerable to paint thinner poisoning. Can't WAIT for this to be finished.
Sometimes on Friday afternoons, we go to Happy Hour with our friend Ruth at her assisted living community. They serve wings and other fried goodies so afterwards your aren't feeling up for much dinner. On this particular Friday after Happy Hour, we had fun dressing up and trying a place called Devil's Food for dessert. It was a super fun atmosphere and I highly recommend their cheesecake with cinnamon-ed pears on top!
Every time I go to Costco, I walk down the appliances aisle and long to have a magic bullet. Then I leave and forget about it until the next time I'm at Costco. Finally, Jake was with me when I walked down this particular aisle and I convinced him of all the great ways our lives would be changed by this little contraption. Namely, my life, but who's to say he couldn't benefit somehow in the future. My hypothesis is that our avocado bill will double this year. Guacamole, you've never been so conquered.

A view of the Indian Peaks from Buchanan Pass Trail. The trek up to this spot was more like snow-shoeing, which on x-country ski's is a beast. But, a view like this is probably like childbirth, makes it all worth it and only your aching body the next day hints at the work involved : D
Yesterday we had 70 degree weather and so a bike ride was in order. I am not a huge fan of phone cameras, but sometimes when it's this beautiful out, you just feel better taking a picture. Even if it turns out kinda crummy : )
